Suffer from dental phobia or anxiety?
Calm your anxiety and improve your overall experience.
We’re pleased to offer comfortable, safe, and effective sedation dentistry in Midtown Atlanta and Sandy Springs. We’re trained and licensed to provide the entire spectrum of sedation services based on your individual needs and preferences.
Let us help. Relax with sedation and enjoy your procedure.
Oral Sedation & Local Anesthesia
Often used in conjunction with other forms of sedation, oral sedation and local anesthesia are mild but effective methods of relaxation.
Oral sedation helps reduce the anxiety and stress felt before and during your appointment. We can prescribe a medication for you to take before your visit.
Local anesthesia is a medication used to numb a small section of your mouth while letting you keep your awareness.
Nitrous Oxide
Commonly called “laughing gas,” this form of sedation is a patient favorite. An odorless gas, nitrous oxide is administered through a small and comfortable mask placed over your nose.
It’s a great way to take the edge off your visit and help you relax. Best of all, it wears off quickly — you’ll be able to go back to work or enjoy your day immediately.
IV Sedation
Using an intravenous injection, a solution containing a sedative medication will help reduce your level of consciousness during treatment.
Because IV sedation is delivered directly into your bloodstream, we can easily control your level of sedation and make adjustments as needed.
With IV sedation dentistry, our patients often don’t remember anything about the procedure.
General Anesthesia
The deepest form of sedation, this is the only type of sedation where you’ll be fully and truly “asleep”.
Best for complex dental treatments, we can administer general anesthesia through gas or a combination of medications delivered through an IV drip.
You’ll be under the supervision of an experienced anesthesiologist throughout your visit and will require a bit more time to wake up after your treatment.
Great oral surgery. My sixty-four year old brother had anatomical crown exposure for four teeth. Front office staff is very helpful with questions. Dr. Pumphrey was very personable and caring for the patient’s needs. Everything went well for my brother. I would highly recommend this practice!
